Program description:
AMFP NYC, in collaboration with IFMA NYC, are pleased to present a three-part series with Cathy Dolan Schweitzer, author of "Health Well Done, a People-Centered Management Approach to Building Healthcare Environments."

Cultural attitudes have shifted and continue to shift, toward the idea that a healthy citizen is our countries best asset. People in the A/E/C industry are the builders of the cities, infrastructure, and buildings and we play an important role in keeping our country’s economy strong and people healthy. Cathy will help attendees to understand the benefits of keeping people healthy in the forefront of decisions while designing and building environments that people work and play in.

In the first module presented in July “Healthy People” we learned about ourselves, what makes us one of a kind which helps us to become a better people-centered leader. In the second module presented in September, “Healthy Team” we learned how to facilitate discussion and collaborate with our team. All interactive exercises reinforced that we are in the people business and relationships are the barebones of a successful project. For this third module in the series, “Healthy Project,” the objective is to understand the backbone and structure of how to take a people centered project from start to completion. It is preceded by the commitment to the principles of Healthy People and the formation of a Healthy Team that is clear on overarching goals and objectives, effective in how its members communicate and collaborate, and steeped in the needs of keeping people healthy in everything we build.
