Our NYC chapter hosts this series of programs that is both topical and conversational. These meetings start with some networking, move into informal discussions with selective guests, and end with questions and answers between members and the speakers. Help us plan upcoming AMFP CONVERSATIONS by letting us know what issues you are facing in Healthcare Facilities.

June’s AMFP CONVERSATIONS will informally discuss this topic with both owners and reps. Why do some facilities use them and others don’t? When is it advantageous to have an outsider in this role and when is it better to manage the process ‘in house’? What variables are facilities juggling? Speaker Bios:

Tina Macica
is the Associate Vice President of Design and Construction for Montefiore Einstein. With over 28 years of experience in design and construction, real estate, and master planning, she has had the unique experience of working directly for owners and as a consulting owner representative. Throughout her career Ms. Macica has managed a variety of construction projects, ranging from healthcare, research and university facilities to administrative offices. She has taught project management and owner representative certificate courses at NYU and recently conducted an NYSED external review of the MS Construction Management Program. Ms. Macica holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Technology from New York Institute of Technology and a Master of Architecture Degree from the University of Buffalo. She is a certified Project Management Professional, LEED AP and Six Sigma Green Belt for Process Improvements, USC.

Charles Maggio leads CBRE Healthcare’s northeast team providing hospitals and health systems with project delivery solutions supported by an integrated platform of services as well as provides executive oversight for clients with complex projects. He has over 30 years of experience, having worked as a practicing architect, hospital facilities executive, project manager and consultant. Mr. Maggio's architectural background and consulting expertise allow him to evaluate challenges and develop strategic solutions that position clients for success in today’s dynamic healthcare market. He is also a steering committee member of the Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI), leading FGI’s Benefit-Cost Committee and assisted in the development of FGI’s Emergency Conditions white paper.
