In 2019 the World Health Organization added the term “burnout” to the international classification of diseases. Around the same time, studies showed that approximately 1/3 of all nurses in the US reported suffering from burnout, and 42% of all physicians. And that was before the global pandemic!

By mitigating the stress of care providers, health outcomes are improved. As we transition to healthier and brighter days, there is heightened attention and opportunity to support the wellness and resilience of those who provide health care in our communities. This panel discussion will explore how evidence-based healthcare design can contribute to the well-being of clinicians.
