Facilities Experts Share Firsthand Knowledge of How to Mitigate Virus Risks

This must-see webinar lays out in detail why proper air filter selection is more important than ever to maintaining clean air. During the webinar titled “Managing Virus Threats with Proper Air Filtration” on Thursday, June 8 at 1:00 pm EDT, hear from a healthcare facilities professional responsible for 3.5 million sq. ft., one of the nation’s most respected engineers, and two industry-recognized air filtration experts.

The presentation will cover how the materials and configuration of air filters impact their ability to mitigate virus risks based on up-to-date scientific knowledge of the transfer dynamics of SARS-CoV-2 and other viruses. Additionally, the webinar will cover the importance of understanding MERV-A values when making air filter selections, the effectiveness of capture efficiencies at different MERV values, and the role of HEPA filters, in-room air purifiers, and air cleaners. The ASHRAE 170-2021 updates and the MERV-A discussion in particular will be very helpful in helping with design.

The webinar includes a roundtable of experts hosted by Kyle Petersen who has over a decade of experience working with a broad range of air filtration applications across industries. As Camfil’s Healthcare Segment Manager, Mr. Petersen is responsible for providing the highest quality, regulation-compliant air filtration solutions to healthcare facilities and hospitals to protect healthcare personnel, patients, and visitors from airborne risks.

Joining Petersen are Richie Stever, who served as the infrastructure chief for an entire medical system when coronavirus invaded Maryland in March 2020; Kim Shinn, who’s known as the “sustainability wizard” throughout healthcare and other industries; and Kevin Wood, a subject matter expert with over 40 years experience in healthcare design and air pollution and air filtration solutions.

Plenty of time will be allotted for a Q&A session to conclude the webinar.
